Digital Signature Object (DSO)

A digital signature object (DSO) is a visual reprensentation of your architect seal.  If your firm chooses to use the DSO, one will need to be requested through AEPlans.  To do so:

1) Prepare a DSO request and mail to:

    MaxView Corporation

    ATTN: DSO Request

    5208 South Second Avenue

    Suite 200

    Everett, Washington 98203

Note: the following MUST be on the DSO request:

  a) The name of the individual to whom the Digital Signature is assigned (the signatory)

  b) The MaxView SystemID of the computer which will be used to apply the DSO (found under Help...MaxView Registration when running MaxView)

  c) The handwritten signature of the signatory (separate from the signatory below in d)

  d) If the signatory is a licensed professional, then an imprint of the licensed professional seal   should be applied to the letter as it would be on a certified document, but no date should be put on the seal, as the time and date is included in the digital signature when the DSO is applied to the AEPlans document.

  e) Contact information, such as address, telephone, email, etc.
